ultracentrifugation
in this process, a series of cylinders or “bowls” are lined up. They separate the uranium hexafluoride molecules by spinning at very high speed. The heavier particles containing the U238 isotope are projected to the walls of the cylinder. The lighter molecules containing the U235 isotope remain near the center. The proportion of light, radioactive molecules increases from one cylinder to the next, thus enriching the gas.

utopia
a word coined by British humanist and philosopher Sir Thomas More in the 16th century by combining the Greek words ou-topos (nowhere) and eu-topos (place of happiness). A Chancellor to King Henry VIII of England, Thomas More used this name for the imaginary island nation whose ideal moral order and social justice he described in his book of the same name.
