  • reforming

    a chemical reaction that breaks up hydrocarbon molecules with heat to release hydrogen. Steam reforming of natural gas is the most common process: natural gas is exposed to very hot steam, thus releasing its hydrogen and CO2.

  • remote-controlled equipment and procedures (dispatching)

    regulate voltage frequency and power exchanges with network operators, and maintain voltage in their respective supply areas.

  • renewable energies

    energies that are inexhaustible within the human time scale (solar energy), or renewable within a very short time (biomass). They have the advantage that they save oil resources for uses other than energy, such as petrochemicals.
