The European Commission oversees numerous programs involving solar applications, which are not limited to photovoltaic devices. One such program is the Environment Technologies Action Plan (ETAP), which is identifying “eco-innovation projects for a sustainable future” so that they may become a reality in Europe on a daily basis. The website presents what would appear to be fundamental research if it were not for the fact that it is described in a very down-to-earth way easily understood by the general public. A very comprehensive list of interesting links opens doors to more information on each of the topics discussed.
